Also, Environmental laws stipulate that the your organization is responsible for enforcing environmental requirements with contractors as well as with employees.
It is therefore the companies responsibility to select, hire and work with only ‘competent’ contractors who share similar views and standards on Environment, Health and Safety.
It is further the responsibility of the organization to ensure that all external contractors are made aware of your Environment, Health and Safety requirements, safety standards and procedures, and any known hazards around the property.
All contractors must ensure that each of their workers who appears on site to perform work provides proof of qualification.
